SHOPDENKAR.COM is the website that hosts all our products. However, our main products are DenKar Candles, which have been Homemade and Hand-poured in Alabama since 2002. Dennis & Karen Forbus, owners, have been creating this magic since Feb. 4, 2002 in their retail stores called DenKar Discount Depot in Calhoun County, Alabama. Since that time, they have closed their retail stores due to Covic-19, yet still remain in the candle& gifts business in Leeds, Alabama. We have spent years to perfect our products, by using only the best earth friendly ingredients, and putting four times the amount in our products than most other candle makers. These are not made at the kitchen table, on the stove. DenKar Candles are made by mixing our ingredients together, adding the color dyes, paraffin wax, into the wax melting machine that brings it all together and then we pour it into about 150 mason jars, where we've placed the non-toxic easy lite wick in the center of each jar, and that is done for each scented batch. We've been working to perfect our products for over 22 years. That's how we can guarantee them to last longer, burn even, smoke less, light easier, knowing our scent will always lasts all the way to the bottom. Nothing is worse than having a half burnt candle that no longer offers the scent, or a wick that will not stay lite.
