This website hosts all our products. However, our main products are DenKar Candles, which have been Homemade and Hand-poured in Alabama since 2002. Dennis & Karen Forbus, owners, have recently been featured in an article, on many ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox Networks across the country, on how they've been creating this magic since Feb. 4, 2002. First in their retail stores called DenKar Discount Depot in Calhoun County, Alabama. Since that time, they have closed their retail stores due to Covic-19, yet still remain in the candle & gifts business in Leeds, Alabama. We have spent years to perfect our products, by using only the earth's BEST eco-friendly ingredients, and putting four times more in our products than other candle companies.
DenKar Candles is also a proud sponsor of the Birmingham Bulls Hockey Organization; and we sponsor the KISS CAM, and sell our candles at every home game, including the playoffs. Our DenKar Candles are made by melting several pounds of paraffin wax in our big wax melting tank. Then we pull out what wax we need, mixing our ingredients together with the color dyes, in a smaller mixing tank. This brings it all together, then we pour it into about 150 mason jars, where we've placed the non-toxic, lead-free, pre-waxed wick in the center of each jar. Now it's time to allow the candles to set up and over the next few hours they cure. Then comes the jar tops, labels, boxed, and shipped. We repeat this process with each scent that we produce.
We've been working to perfect our products for over 22 years. That's how we can guarantee them to last longer, burn even, smoke less, light easier, knowing our scent will always out lasts the wax, all the way to the bottom. Nothing is worse than having a half burnt candle that no longer offers the scent, or a wick that will not stay lit.
